Heat Resistant LED Lighting

Heat is a leading cause of fixture failure in LED lighting product installations. High heat environments, such as foundries and steel mills, are the ultimate test. With operating temperatures up to 203° F, and a unique ability to maintain optimal lumen output as temperatures climb, Tactik LED lights shine where others fail.

Charter Dura-Bar’s 480,000 sq. ft. continuous casting facility features high heat areas above its bar lines that routinely produce temperatures in excess of 200° at the ceiling. Management wanted to improve environmental conditions for the employees, upgrading from old mercury vapor and incandescent lighting to LEDs. The trick would be finding lights that would hold-up to such a punishing environment. Tactik Lighting’s military-grade offering was up to the task.

The end result doubled the light output for the safety and wellbeing of the entire team, while improving quality for the customer.

Molded Dimensions

Corrosive Vapor Resistant LED Lighting

Caustic gases, like the Sulphur Dioxide that’s ever-present in rubber manufacturing facilities, are known to noticeably shorten fixture life in LED lighting product installations. Of leading LED lighting brands tested in a side-by-side comparison, only Tactik vapor-tight fixtures showed no signs of vapor penetration.

Molded Dimensions was looking to upgrade their lighting to save future costs as part of a lean initiative. They chose to utilize Tactik Lighting's Military-Grade LEDs which featured sealed designs that are shown to keep Sulphur Dioxide vapors out more effectively than other LEDs.

The end result gave the client fixtures that were protected from damage caused by environmental vapors, while maintaining light output levels, and offering the customer significant savings on their utility bills. The lighting also contributed to their lean manufacturing efforts. Better lighting helped optimize product quality. Plus, a brighter appearance creates a more inviting and positive impression on customers and prospects when they tour the facility.

Vibration Resistant LED Lighting

Vibration can be devastating to LED lighting product installations. Especially if you go with cheaply made overseas manufactured fixtures that aren’t designed to hold up under such punishing conditions.

As a frame manufacturer for Toyota, Metalsa literally pounds out vehicle frames all day long. Metalsa knew from experience that their high vibration environment combined with high heat and high grit and debris can dramatically shorten lighting life cycles. And they wanted to find a better answer.

By going with military-grade tough LED lights from Tactik, Metalsa was able to improve light levels throughout their facility, while increasing fixture longevity. This helped improve safety while reducing maintenance costs as well as energy costs.

Quality Metal Polishing

Dust & Debris Resistant LED Lighting

Want to see just how damaging dust, grit and debris can be to LED lighting product installations? Look no further than Quality Metal Polishing Company. They specialize in finish polishing of metal surfaces. As a result, their finishing process produces a lot of fine metal shavings and particles that become airborne and wind up covering the light fixtures in the facility.

Contaminant build-up on fixtures acts as an insulator, causing internal fixture temperatures to soar and LEDs to fail prematurely. Even though QMPC would clean their lights regularly, the failure rates of their fixtures were both frustrating and costly.

In addition to the build-up, the metal shavings and particles would penetrate the fixtures themselves, compounding the reliability issues.

The solution? Tactik installed vapor tight LED lights to keep the particles from infiltrating the fixtures. This solution improves fixture longevity while providing the lumen output needed to optimize the quality of finished products.
